Quad life

Well, we are still making it here in Rockville.  Life in our little apt has been interesting, but great!  I love not having to cook!  However, I feel that I have gained at least 10 pounds form the food here.  I try to workout, but not sure much helps after sitting in classes all day and eating such fattening food :$  Anyway, we had Jonathan's 5th birthday here and had some people over for cake.  I am sad to say that for the first time ever, I did not get to make the cake.  Because of the circumstances, I was unable to do it here, but the cake we got from WalMart was pretty good.  It was a dinosaur themed party complete with a dino puzzle for the kids to do, small dino animals to play with, and T-Rex freeze tag.  After it was all over I asked Jonathan how he liked his party and he said it was great!  All I can say is kids are so amazing.  It is through my children that I am reminded of what a blessing life can be.  I was so worried about Jonathan missing out on a "real" birthday party, that I failed to realize that didn't matter to him.  All he cared about was that there was some sort of cake and some other kids.  God continues to teach me that what is best for me is not always what I think it should be, but He has something better!

Here we are!

After almost 2 months with a blank page, I am finally getting around to starting this blog.  Let's start with the intros....my name is Stacie.  I am the mother of 3 children, and have a wonderful husband.  (So I bet you can imagine what the majority of this blog will consist of.)  However, my main reason for entering the huge world of bloggers is that we are moving to Eastern Europe, and I felt this would be a great way to keep family, friends, and whoever else, updated on what we are up to.   [This is where I place the disclaimer that: I cannot guarantee consistent, relevent, grammatically correct blogs.] I also pray that by reading about us, others might be encouraged to pray for the people of Eastern Europe we are going to minister to.

Well, I guess that is as good a start as any.  It is official, I am a blogger!
